Qigong, finding its roots in India and developed in China, is a system of medicine based upon movement and breath. Qigong with its thousands of years of history, offers students a way of improving their health using powerful and specific movements that anyone can do. Studying and practicing gentle, low impact, flowing movements based upon natural elements, can assist practitioners to move the stagnant qi that is often contributing to a person’s ill health and dis-ease.
Qigong has been featured by Dr. OZ as a healthy approach to arthritis, auto-immune problems, heart dis-ease and anxiety. It also is well documented that Qigong practice improves balance and memory. The body is a dynamic organism and responds well to movement as medicine. One should not learn Qigong from any source other than a physical teacher, as corrections and conversation allows a student to gain the most benefit from the Qigong practices.
